First Half
Wigan took control early through Evan Buckley, who scored twice within the opening 12 minutes. Lucas Fetherston added a third try before half-time to give the hosts an 18-10 lead at the break.
Wakefield responded with tries from Jayden Myers, who crossed the line twice in the first half, and James Evans scored in the second period. Max Jowitt converted two of the three Wakefield tries, but the early Wigan assault proved decisive.
Second Half
Finn McMillan and Lewis Daniels both scored early in the second half to seal the victory for Wigan. The two tries extended the hosts' lead beyond Wakefield's reach despite the visitors' spirited challenge.
