Castleford residents and visitors are invited to Food Drink Castleford on Saturday 19 September. The free event takes place in Henry Moore Square from 1pm to 9pm and celebrates local food, drink and hospitality businesses.
The event is funded by Pride in Place and supported by independent restaurants, cafés, bars and businesses across Castleford. It aims to draw visitors into the town centre and support the local economy.
Entertainment and Activities
Rhubarb Radio will broadcast live from the square, providing music and entertainment throughout the day. The Community Stage will feature live performances from local musicians and entertainers, with spot prizes available to win.
Families can enjoy small fairground rides, face painting and a balloon artist. Yorkshire Craft Beers and The Craft Booze Company will run a mini-beer festival offering samples of locally brewed craft beers.
Market and Traders
Castleford market will operate an expanded programme on the day, with artisan craft stalls joining regular traders in Henry Moore Square.
