Wakefield Council is accepting applications for Culture Grants to support arts and heritage projects across Wakefield district. The scheme offers grants of up to £1,500 to community groups, charities, community interest companies (CICs) and other voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations based in the district.

What the grants support

The funding is designed to help bring creative and cultural projects to life. Wakefield Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Sport said the grants recognise "the social, wellbeing and economic impact that providing grants for communities and creative projects brings" and support "a diverse range of cultural activity across our district".

Application deadlines

Two application rounds remain open for Culture Grants Small:

Round 4 closes on Monday 14 September 2026.

Round 5 closes on Monday 9 November 2026.
