A 66-year-old cyclist has died in hospital following a collision with a car in Wakefield. The man was struck by an Omoda 5 SUV as he cycled along the A636 Denby Dale Road near its junction with Thornes Road at around 22:05 BST on Wednesday evening. He was left in critical condition following the crash and died on Thursday, West Yorkshire Police confirmed.
Police investigation
A 48-year-old woman who was driving the vehicle has been interviewed under caution and released under investigation.

Police are continuing to appeal for information and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has footage to come forward.
